FRAME training course session 1, June 18 to 22, 2018
Session 1, organized at Ina, is dedicated to the preservation and management of audiovisual media.
FRAME will include classroom training, practical workshops, experience feedbacks and professional visits.
Take advantage of the opportunity to network with other professionals and to interact with high levels international speakers, such as David Pfluger, specialist in film technique & preservation of audiovisual materials @ Memoriav (Switzerland), Brecht Declercq, Digitization & Acquisition manager @ VIAA (Institute for preservation of audiovisual material in Flanders, Belgium), Eric Rault, expert in technical architectures for large video archiving systems @ Ina (France).

What is session 1 about ?
Through a methodological and technical approach, FRAME #1 provides an overview of an archive's role, focused on physical assets management, digitization and digital objects preservation.
DAY 1: Participants' projects presentation, "The functions of an archive", "From media to archive"
DAY 2: "Digitization of audiovisual carriers"
DAY 3: "Digital Asset Management", Visit of an institution
DAY 4: "Digital Storage of Archives", "Physical Storage of Archives"
DAY 5: Case studies, Workshop on one of the participants' project
What is FRAME ?
- A training course in english on audiovisual archiving management, organized by Ina, within the framework of the Creative Europe program, in partnership with FIAT/IFTA and Eurovision Academy.
- An itinerant approach aiming, every year, at opening to participants the doors of different European institutions dealing with audiovisual heritage preservation and promotion.
- Two sessions of one week each, addressing different issues.
